The bill (Reg. No. 1086) proposes to amend the article 13 of the Law “On the Status of War Veteran and Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, giving the right for preferential free sanatorium and resort treatment to the war veterans who participated directly in operations during the Great Patriotic War and the war with Japan. It will increase the level of social protection of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, maintain their health and moral spirit of the former soldiers.
The Committee noted that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat supports also the proposition directed on the improvement of social protection of the war veterans.
The Committee drew attention also to the fact that the representatives of the non-governmental organizations supported also the bill.
