Efficient and continuous connection between the Verkhovna Rada and local authorities is extremely important, especially given that economic and social reforms by the President of Ukraine are being practically implemented nationwide.
This was stressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak when speaking before the representatives of local authorities and local self government bodies of Zaporizhzhya region on Thursday.
“The aim of current visit and all the future ones is to establish direct and live connection between the Parliament of new convocation and local authorities and bodies of local self government of all regions of Ukraine,” he said. According to the Chairman of the Parliament, bodies of representative authorities should be the first one to solve the existing problems that prevent from moving ahead, and should create legislative basis for their harmonious settlement.
“The society lives in expectation of positive results of presidential reforms and, thus, is ready to support this strategic course of the President,” Volodymyr Rybak noted. “I am convinced that all branches of power should well realize this request of society for effective and decisive reforms. Thereat, for the first time since independence, all three branches of power: the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine act coordinately and are ready to bear responsibility to the society for the future of reforms,” he added.
