The participants of the conflict situation that arose as a result of demolition of print media stands of the Limited Liability Company Press M of the publishing house Kartel in Kryvyi Rih were heard during the meeting of the Committee. The Committee decided to address Kryvyi Rih City Council and the city mayor due to significant reduction of the number of outlets of print media in this city. It was also decided to address the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Antimonopoly Committee in order to examine the issue of adherence to current legislation by the Kryvyi Rih City Council in the process of demolition of print media stands.
Meeting participants considered the issue of pressure on the personnel and editorial staff of the All-Ukrainian newspaper Ekspres, being issued in Lviv.
Members of the meeting focused attention on the information spread by the UNIAN Agency regarding people’s deputies Serhiy Vlasenko and Oleksandra Kuzhel which, according to them, is unreliable.
Participants of the meeting have also considered conditions of participation of representatives of deputy factions, groups and people’s deputies that are part of none faction or group in the weekly 45-minutes thematic TV programs “Parlament” (Parliament) on Rada channel.
People’s deputies considered the state of implementation of the Decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine No. 393 of May 11, 2011 “On securing implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat” by the Committee Secretariat. By results of discussion, the Committee took the decision to address the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak with the suggestion to make amendments to the Decree.
