Greetings on the occasion of
the Day for Women's Rights and International Peace
Dear compatriots!
On these spring days when the earth awakens from its winter sleep and covers with first flowers, when you want to inhale refreshing breeze on a full breast, let me cordially greet you on the occasion of March 8th!
At all times and for all peoples the Woman – a keeper of hearth and home, a loving mother and a trustworthy wife, has always been an embodiment of Beauty, Renaissance and Love.
For centuries we, men, have performed military feats, made discoveries, and created gems of art in your honor.
On behalf of all Ukrainian parliament members and on my own behalf I want to confess the following: we are proud of your commitment to Ukraine, your enormous contribution into all spheres of life of our young state. We are proud of your dignity and wisdom, of your readiness to lend shoulder to us, men, during hard times. We are, no doubt, proud of your charm, for it is well known that Ukrainian women are the most beautiful in the world.
May, dear representatives of the fair sex, each day of yours be full of sunshine and joy, and may the roses bloom and poetry speak in your honor.
I wish you happiness, health, fireside comfort, fulfillment of all your dearest wishes and high love, surely! For, the latter holds our complicated world and due to it we want to make it at least a bit better.
