The Committee Chairman expressed his gratitude to the Sweden Party in connection with permanent theoretical and practical assistance provided by Sweden to Ukraine in order to develop its relations with the European Union. The Chairman noted also significant contribution of the Kingdom in implementing the rapprochement process of Ukraine to the EU, particularly in preparation for signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement during the EU Summit in Vilnius in November this year.
V.Kaliuzhnyi emphasized that Sweden is one of the main foreign investors in Ukraine and expressed hope for increasing Swedish investments in the Ukrainian economy in the future. In his turn, S.Gullgren stressed the increasing interest of Swedish business in realization of economic projects in Ukraine.
The Parties have separately noted the importance of inter-parliamentary relations for further broadening and deepening of traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and Sweden. In this context, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine appreciated information about completion of the formation process of the Swedish-Ukrainian Friendship Group in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
