The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation”

According to article 89 of the Constitution of Ukraine and article 5 of the Law “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, 29 Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation were established:

Under article 10 of the Law “On Privatization of State Property” the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel on Privatization was established.

Following part two of article 5 of the Law “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, it was determined that each of the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada should include at the moment of its establishment minimum 9 and maximum 30 people’s deputies. According to part 5 of the Law “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, the law determines the jurisdiction of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation and that of the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel on Privatization.

The law stipulates that in case the bill that is subject to the jurisdiction of two or more parliamentary committees is submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada, the main committee to consider such a bill shall be determined by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, according to article 88 of the Constitution of Ukraine, taking into account the proposal by the Conciliatory Council of Deputy Factions (Deputy Groups) in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, unless the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine brings consideration of such a bill under jurisdiction of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, established according to article 89 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Resolution declares the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of December 13, 2012 registered under No. 6-VII “On the list and quantitative composition of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation” invalid.

The document determines jurisdiction of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation and that of the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel on Privatization of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
