To judges and court staff of Ukraine
Dear judges and court staff!
Please, accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of your professional holiday.
The Judiciary Day is a holiday of all judges and everyone working in judiciary bodies, who dedicated their life to serving the ideals of Good, Law, and Justice.
Performance of their constitutional duties by the courts imposes on you special responsibility before the Ukrainian nation, as it is your professionalism, honesty, and faithfulness to the law, that determine real observance of the Constitution and laws of Ukraine on social rights of a human and a citizen, as well as of international conventions and generally accepted legal standards.
The whole history of our country that started building the state on principles pf the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine proves that establishment and operation of the court system of Ukraine is of special importance both for the state and for its citizens. Court staffs have undergone all stages of court development in the country and have accumulated great practical experience in solving the most complicated legal issues.
Today, having been formed as a self-sufficient social instrument for achievement of the rule of law and justice, the judicial power in Ukraine can protect rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen and ensure accessible, just and legal justice.
The main factor of building an effective judiciary system in the future will be the establishment of legislative basis, as well as appropriate human resources, and financial and material support of courts.
There is no doubt that the Verkhovna Rada will promote the creation of the necessary legislative conditions of just and effective justice, careful selection of judges, and establishment of real independence of courts and strengthening the authority of the judiciary in the name of human rights and freedoms.
I wish all judges and staff of courts and the State Court Administration good health and wealth, family happiness, and new professional successes and achievements in establishment of unbiased and objective justice in the name of good, moral and justice and for the benefit of the Ukrainian society.
