Volodymyr Lytvyn deems the newly elected Verkhovna Rada should start its work with the introduction of personal voting. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine V.Lytvyn expressed such idea during the briefing on Monday.
“I think we should agree that the newly elected Verkhovna Rada should start its work with introduction of personal voting. And if the people’s deputy, due to objective reasons, did not participate in voting, there is nothing tragic about it,” he said.
V.Lytyn reminded that he has already submitted a bill, according to which the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should establish the procedure of personal voting, due to the requirements of the Constitutional Court.
According to the Chairman of the Parliament, this document was not upheld by the session hall but, he believes, such decision should be adopted.
The decision regarding implementation of the new voting system that is not yet certified, should be also adopted, V.Lytvyn noted. He stressed thereat that the existing “Rada” system has depleted its resources and “reposes on a word of honor in many cases”.
