The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should recommit the bill to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine (re assertion of citizens’ rights in land relations)

The bill (Reg. No. 11111), submitted by people’s deputy S. Mishchenko, criminalizes such actions as “systematic violation and postponement of issue terms of three or more acts for title to land plot by the officials of local self-government bodies.” In particular, the Criminal Code should be supplemented by article 233.

The bill supplements also the list of land laws violations stipulated in article 211 of the Land Code of Ukraine.

Members of the Committee believe that the legislative proposals are topical and have social repercussions. Nevertheless, people’s deputies expressed a number of substantial remarks to the bill. They consider that it requires improvement.
