The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the Parliament should recommit the bill to amend article 20 of the Law "On Advertising" (re ban to use images of children in political advertisements)

The bill (Reg. No. 10698) proposes to supplement article 20 of the Law "On Advertising" with provision regarding prohibition of using images of children in advertisements of political parties and candidates to offices in state bodies.

The Committee members believe that the suggested amendments did not concern the specialized legislative act, since political advertisement is a form of pre-election agitation and these issues are regulated by the electoral legislation of Ukraine.
