The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding improvement of mechanism of regulating and strengthening responsibility in waste management”

The law amends the Law "On Waste" in the following way: new terms are introduced; definitions of some terms are specified; responsibilities of legal entities and natural persons in regard to waste management, namely ensuring separate collection of waste, are extended. In addition, the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Violations shall be supplemented by articles 152-1, 152-2 regarding responsibility for violating the requirements of waste management.

The respective bill was registered under No.10501.
