According to the Information of the Administrative Office of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat, examination and assessment of the technical condition of metal constructions of the cupola, outer stairs and the spire of the administrative building of the Parliament were conducted by the state enterprise "State Scientific and Research Institute of Building Structures" in 2011.
The results of examination showed that the general condition of the building is satisfactory, physical depreciation of metal constructions is 5-15%; there are no dangerous deformations of elements or damages that are incompatible with further use of the constructions. Nevertheless, there are some minor damages: corrosion of metal constructions, deformation of frame elements, and paint peeling.
The works to eliminate damages found in the process of examination of the technical condition of metal constructions of the cupola are planned for the next year.
