The
bill (Reg. No. 9594) is aimed at establishment of state
system of protection for consumers of financial services, as well as
improvement of a number of principal provisions of respective
legislation that
should approximate Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of financial
services to
the norms of the European legislation with consideration of universal
principles regarding protection of rights of financial service consumers
elaborated by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and
Development.
Members of the Committee believe that adoption of the bill would facilitate
establishment of reliable state system of protection for financial service
consumers that would result in improvement of investment climate in the country
and attraction of funds into the financial market.
