News 2 - The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft law to amend article 13 of the Law "On the Status of Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" (re providing disabled veterans with free sanatorium and resort treatment) - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft law to amend article 13 of the Law "On the Status of Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" (re providing disabled veterans with free sanatorium and resort treatment)

The bill (Reg.No.10532) suggests amending article 13 of the Law "On the Status of Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" and aims at primarily provision of disabled veterans of WWII and veterans of War with Japan with free sanatorium and resort treatment. It will provide the possibility to increase the level of social protection of WWII veterans.

By conclusion of the Committee, the bill needs additional funding.

The Committee also attached attention to the fact that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat upholds the bill and believes that by results of consideration in the first reading the bill may be adopted as a basis.
