To the Partisans and Undergrounders of the
World War II
Dear veterans!
Accept sincere greetings, the words of filial love and gratefulness on the occasion of the Day of Partisan Glory. You are the first and most honorable guests on the holiday by which the state and society pays tribute of deep respect to your unexampled feat.
Memory of those hard times and numerous examples of patriotism, heroism and self-sacrifice is timeless and resistant to the changes of political weather. All the attempts to rewrite the history of the past war and its unique constituent the massive resistance movement on the occupied territory are useless and powerless before this memory.
The victory over armed to the teeth, well-trained and inebriated by easy success enemy, is the everlasting monument to all those who fought for it on the battlefield and in the hostile area, in the partisan forests and in Gestapo prisons. To all those alive and fallen, the saved country bows low. It was ever thus and it will remain this way forever.
