The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn believes simultaneous elections of the Parliament and of the Kyiv City mayor impossible.
"I believe it is impossible," said V. Lytvyn in Novohrad-Volynskyi of Zhytomyr region on Saturday answering the journalists? questions.
V. Lytvyn informed that he had sent a letter of the Kyiv City Council on calling elections of the mayor to the specialized parliamentary committee with a request to look into this matter.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada expressed the opinion that the Parliament should determine the date of the Kyiv City mayor elections during the first plenary week in September.
