The bill (Reg. No. 9740), submitted by people?s deputies S . Kivalov and S. Shpenov, is aimed at increasing the efficiency of judicial agencies, improvement of the existing principles of organization of work of judicial branch of power, and improvement of the level of justice administration in general, which stipulates amendment of a number of articles of the Law "On Judicial System and the Status of Judges".
In particular, the bill empowers the heads of local, appellate and supreme specialized courts to introduce court specialization if necessary.
The powers of the chief justice shall be supplemented with supervision over organization of judges? work concerning adherence to procedural terms and labor discipline.
The bill specifies the procedure for opening disciplinary proceedings in regard to judges.
In the process of preparing the bill to the second reading, the Committee received a number of proposals from the subjects of legislative initiatives. Some of them were taken into consideration.
