The draft resolution (Reg. No. 1064 suggests approving the recommendations of the parliamentary hearings "On the State and Prospects of Development of the Military Organization and Security Sector of Ukraine" held on May 23, 2012. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers should inform the Verkhovna Rada about the implementation of recommendations by February 1, 2013.
Participants of the parliamentary hearings recommend that the Cabinet of Ministers should elaborate the bill on security and defense sector which would determine its composition, structure and goals.
Participants of the hearings believe that it is also necessary to ensure coordinated development of specialized bodies in the security and defense sector within the framework of defense planning procedures; while determining the priorities of development of the state, it is necessary to take into account the needs of the specialized bodies of the security and defense sector and development of the military industrial sector, etc.
