The bill (Reg. No. 9526), submitted by people?s deputy V. Shemchuk, stipulates in article 304 of the Criminal Code responsibility for involving a minor into a crime determining the following qualifying criteria:
the crime is committed in regard to a minor;
the crime was committed by father, mother, step-father, step-mother, guardian or caretaker, or a person that has the obligation to bring up or take care of the victim;
the crime is committed with violence or threats of violence;
the crime resulted in involving a minor into a criminal group or into committing a grave crime or a felony.
Members of the Committee supported the bill, the adoption of which will facilitate improvement of the criminal legislation, its better practical application, as well as increase the efficiency of the criminal protection of children from negative influences, namely, their involvement into crimes and anti-social behavior.
