The Constitution let preserve peace in Ukraine and come through the most difficult challenges, - V.Lytvyn
The Constitution let preserve peace in Ukraine and come through the most difficult challenges. This was stressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the visit to Chervonoarmiysk district, Zhytomyr region, on Thursday.
At the same time, he said, we still need to do a lot "to make people perceive the Day of the Constitution as a holiday". The Chairman of the Parliament said that the Fundamental Law pronounces "excellent grounds and key guarantees - free medicine and education". But the Constitution needs to secure that non-fulfilment of its norms entails responsibility.
Today it is highly important to preserve the dialogue inside the country "for us to speak in one voice on issues concerning people". "We need a discussion to take the best decisions to find what unites Ukraine," he said.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada met with the citizens of the villages of Ocheretianka, Sokoliv and Tetirka and delivered books to local schools in under the program "The Book returns to school".
