The bill (Reg. No. 10259), submitted by people?s deputy V. Prokopchuk, obliges the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local executive bodies and local self-government bodies together with traffic agencies to furnish unsupervised crossings with illumination during the hours of darkness. For that purpose, article 25 of the Law "On Traffic" shall be set forth as amended.
The bill is aimed at reinforcement of traffic security.People?s deputies noted that a large number of road traffic accidents happens at crossings and is caused by improper condition of traffic management means and illumination or lack thereof during the hours of darkness.
Members of the Committee supported the bill. They believe that its adoption will decrease the number of road traffic accidents and create proper conditions for traffic, etc.
