The bill (Reg. No. 10496), authored by people?s deputy V. Lytvyn, envisages gradual increase of pensionable service necessary for granting a minimum retirement pension determined in the first passage of part one of article 28 of this Law from 27 to 35 years for men and from 22 to 20 years for women by January 1, 2017.
Members of the Committee generally support the legislative stand aimed at gradual increase of pensionable service for determination of minimum retirement pension.
At the same time, the Committee agrees with remarks of the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat concerning advisability of coordination of this legislative proposal with provisions of article 26 of the Law "On Mandatory State retirement Insurance".
In the course of discussion, a representative of the Government voiced the reservation that the proposed amendments cannot influence the mechanism of determining the right to pension under the laws "On academic and research and technology activity", "On the status of people?s deputies of Ukraine", and "On state service". Due to this, members of the Committee drew attention to the necessity to ensure clear legislative regulation of this issue.
