On Friday, the leaders of the State took part in the Ceremony of laying Flowers to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier (Eternal Glory Park) on the Occasion of the Day of Sorrow and Commemoration of War Victims in Ukraine.

Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Azarov, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleksandr Popov, the Head of Kyiv City State Administration, Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk, the Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration as well as officials, NGO representatives, clergy and, veterans of WWII took part in the ceremony.
