Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, greeted Participants of the Christian Politics Forum in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"High mission of this event is in the practical and moral harmonization of social context (with Christianity aspects) and politics", V. Lytvyn stated. According to him, present reality is rich in examples of close connections and interplays of these instruments of social development. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that ideology if it is not coordinated with the supreme will of our Lord, His Commandments are doomed to failure. "Combination of moral laws with political activity would lead to the formation of fair system of democratic society", V. Lytvyn believes.
"Christianity helps people overcome daily routine, appreciate values and content of eternal verity, rouses high ambitions, inspires and embraves. It separates evil and good deeds, truth and lie", the greeting reads. Thus, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is convinced that politicians, according to philosopher Volodymyr Soloviev, shall not build their own Kingdom of God and do not convert earth into hell.
One of the biggest problems, according to the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is special need of spiritual recovery. Volodymyr Lytvyn is convinced that Christian parties became essential part of the political landscape. "Present forum with participants from almost 20 countries is dedicated to problems of protection of children and traditional family values", V. Lytvyn informed
