The following Law of Ukraine was adopted adjusted for the proposals of the President of Ukraine:

Law "On Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Strengthening of Responsibility of the Officials of Public Authorities and Local Self-Government Bodies."

The legislative act supplements clause 41 of the Code of Labour Laws of Ukraine, whereby the labour contract with the official can be terminated in case of repeated infringement in the sphere of licensing, state regulation of policy, and issue of licensing documents.

 The law amends the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements to strengthen responsibility for infringements in the sphere of licensing, state regulation of policy, and issue on licensing documents.

 The draft is registered under Reg. No.7497.

The following Laws of Ukraine were adopted in entirety:

"On Amendments to the Law "On the Armed Forces of Ukraine" regarding Peace-time Use of Weapon.

The Law amends clauses 1 and 9 of the Law "On the Armed Forces of Ukraine", and supplements this Law with clause 11, which extends the list of cases, when the units, military divisions and subdivisions and alert forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can use weapon and operational hardware in peace-time.

The goal of the document is to implement several international legal acts in the domestic law of Ukraine concerning anti-piracy, counteraction to arms trafficking, trafficking in drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors in the waters of the high seas, and participation of Ukraine in the international peacemaking and anti-terrorist campaigns.

"On proclaiming the Natural Sites of Skadovsk Town in Kherson Region the State Resort."

The Law proclaims the natural sites of Skadovsk town of Kherson region a national resort, and sets the boundaries of the district and zones of sanitary protection of Skadovsk resort.

 "On proclaiming the Natural Sites of Myrhorod in Poltava Region the State Resort."

The Law proclaims the natural sites of Myrhorod in Poltava region the state resort, and establishes the borders of the resort and the protective sanitary zone.

The draft is registered under Reg. No. 8574.

 "On Amendments to Clause 18 of the Law "On Comprehensive Secondary Education" (regarding Prevention of Discrimination while entering the Primary School).

The Law bans testing of child´s knowledge while entering comprehensive education institutions, except gymnasiums, lyceums, colleges and specialized schools (boarding-schools), supplementing clause 18 of the Law "On Comprehensive Secondary Education" with part 8.

The primary purpose of the document is to protect the constitutional right for accessible and free comprehensive secondary education.

"On Accession of Ukraine to the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules relating to the Arrest of Sea-Going Ships."

Under the International Convention, a ship flying the flag of one of the contracting States may be arrested in the jurisdiction of any of the contracting States in respect of any maritime claim, but in respect of no other claim but nothing in this Convention shall be deemed to extend or restrict any right or powers vested in any Governments or their Departments, Public Authorities, or Dock or Harbour Authorities under their existing domestic laws or regulations to arrest, detain or otherwise prevent the sailing of vessels within their jurisdiction.

 "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Georgia on Aircraft Traffic."

The primary purpose of the Law is to form a bilateral contractual basis for international aircraft traffic between Ukraine and Georgia to create a legal mechanism of cooperation development in the sphere of air transportation.

Under the document, each contractual party authorizes the other contractual party to provide regular international aircraft transportation according to the routs established by the appendix to the Agreement.

"On Amendments to Clause 9 of the Law "On Counteraction to the Illegal Turnover and Abuse of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors."

The primary purpose of the law is to strengthen legal and organizational tools in the sphere of counteraction to the illegal turnover and abuse of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors. The law offers a new version of clause 9 of the applicable law, which determines the actions against drug-related crimes, and sets the authorities of the executive and local self-government bodies concerning suspension or termination of work of public establishments, where a systematic consumption or sale of drugs or psychotropic substances takes place.

"On Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Property Alienation of the Legal Entities in the Public Economic Sector."

The law amends the Economic Code of Ukraine and the Law "On Management of the State Property Objects" to strengthen the state supervision over the property alienation by the state, business and communal enterprises.

The law supplements clause 7 of the Law "On Management of the State Property Objects" with the provision, whereby the State Property Fund of Ukraine organizes sale of the fixed property objects of the legal entities of the public economic sector in cases envisaged by the Law.

"On Amendments to the Law "On Scientific and Research-Technical Activity" (re Optimization of Structure and Areas of State Support in the Research Sphere).

The Law strengthens financial support of research and research-technical activity, introducing program-oriented funding.

The Law improves conceptual structure of the effective law (defines and specifies particular terms), and sets the principles of financial support of research and research-technical activity.

The Law supplements clause 1 (principal terms and their definitions) of the effective law with the definition of terms 'research-technical (experimental development)', 'research (research-technical) items', 'grant' and a new version of the term 'applied research.'

"On Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine regarding Priority Areas of Innovations."

The Law provides for the concentration of intellectual and financial resources in the priority areas of innovation development to support production of high-technology science-absorbing goods, its sale at the domestic market and accession to the global market.

Namely, the document specifies the priority areas of innovations, and cuts their number to five sectors. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall set and adopt the mid-term priorities of innovation activity.

On Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Legal Support of Realization of Housing Rights of the Residents of Dormitory Accommodation."

Under the bill, dormitory accommodation can be privatized by its residents who require social protection, do not have any other dwelling, and have been living in the dormitory on a legitimate basis for five years. The bill specifies that privatization of dormitory accommodation concerns all types of housing premises housing rooms, housing blocs, housing sections. The bill supplements the list of dormitories not subject to this law - dormitories of other military units (not mentioned in the law), and dormitories of state educational establishments.

"On Guarding Service."

The law establishes legal, organizational and economic principles of guarding service rendered by the economic entities in any form of ownership. The Bill determines the authorities of the guarding service subjects, guarantees of legal and social protection of the guard personnel, observance of rights of individuals and legal entities in the guarding service, as well as relations of the guarding service subjects with the State bodies in charge of law order and fighting corruption.

The draft is registered under Reg. No. 4824.

 "On Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine (re Prevention of Medicine Adulteration)."

The law defines the term "adulterated medicine" and establishes criminal and administrative responsibility for production and sale of adulterated medicine.

Under the law, adulterated medicine "is the medicine produced with the violation of the set requirements in part of incongruence between the actual contents of ingredients and the label, or the contents of ingredients in the inadequate composition, absence or lack of active agents, and/or medicine that fail to comply with the set requirements for the packaging, including illegal use of the brand for goods and services, imitation of the form, package or shaping of wares of another producer, and the medicine produced by the manufacturer other than the one stated in the registration certificate."

"On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Legal Proceedings of Ukraine" (re Regulation of Withdrawal of an Appellate Appeal or a Cassation Appeal).

The law introduces "the mechanism of withdrawing an appellate appeal or a cassation appeal by the administrative court."

The law amends clauses 193, 218 and 233 of the Code of Administrative Legal Proceedings of Ukraine.

The draft is registered under Reg. No. 6120.

"On Amendments to the Family Code of Ukraine" (re Adoption)

The law excludes the provision from the effective law, whereby the difference in age between the adopter and the adopted child can not exceed forty five years.

Several Resolutions on holding of the Parliamentary Hearings.

"On awarding the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2011 for the Contribution of Youth to the Development of Parliamentarism and Local Self-Government."

 The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed several Resolutions on celebration of memorable dates.

A number of bills were adopted as a basis.

A number of documents were rejected and recommitted.
