Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn expects the parliament to scrutinize the Law on the State Budget for 2012 in the first reading on October 20.
In the interview to Interfax-Ukraine news agency, V. Lytvyn informed that committees, factions and deputies are submitting their proposals and amendments to the draft budget.
The Budget Committee meets the representatives of local authorities and studies budget indexes, while the parliament works with ministries and departments of all levels. "I consider such a form of work correct, even though the Government recommended refraining from such initiatives after the draft budget is submitted to the parliament. The Government introduced a bill and shall support it now", he explained.
V. Lytvyn stated that there is an opportunity to work without haste to coordinate all the indexes.
