Igor Corman, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, is staying in Ukraine to participate in the sitting of the heads of the national parliamentary delegations in EURONEST PA.
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Oleh Bilorus greeted the guests with the National holiday of the Republic of Moldova, and called for boosting cooperation between the parliamentary committees, inter-parliamentary assemblies and groups of friendship.
The parties drew attention to the development of cooperation in the economic and cultural spheres, and suggested holding a joint parliamentary session of the committees, and establishing a bilateral inter-parliamentary assembly of Ukraine and Moldova.
The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova attaches great importance to his visit to Ukraine. Mr Corman believes that parliamentary contacts between the committees, assemblies, and inter-parliamentary liaison groups are essential. He briefed on the current political situation in the parliament of the Republic of Moldova. He also expects the committee meetings to boost inter-parliamentary bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine Ion Stavila also took part in the meeting.
