Teacher's Work should be duly appreciated

 

On September 29-30, Adam Martyniuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stayed with a working visit in Volyn region. Adam Martyniuk took part in the celebration of the Teacher´s Day in Liubeshivskyi district. He recollected as after graduation from Lutsk Teachers College he worked as a teacher in a remote village Veluka Hlusha in this district.

 

"We owe you so much, dear teachers," the First Deputy Chairman stated. "Today an average salary of a teacher totals only UAH 1913, while the average rate in the industrial sector is UAH 3223. Our task is to narrow this gap, increase prestige of this job, and support payment of all the privileges envisaged by the law for village teachers. The Draft State Budget for 2012 considers a possibility to increase teacher´s salary by UAH 600," Adam Martyniuk informed.

 

In village Karasyn of Manevytskyi district, A. Martyniuk visited St. Michael's Church, an architectural monument built in 1691. This summer the church was restored under the assistance of Adam Martyniuk. In the same village the First Deputy Chairman visited a newly-built club.

 

A. Martyniuk attended the ceremony of dedication of a newly-built Church of Mary Magdalen Equal to the Apostles in Pohulianka village of Liubeshivskyi district.

 

On the second day of the visit, A. Martyniuk attended the opening ceremony of school stadium in Zaliznytsia village. After that he visited a secondary school in Berezna Volia village, having promised to continue his assistance to this educational establishment.

 

On the last day, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took part in the lightening of a symbolic torch on a newly-built two-kilometer southern gas pipe line. He also visited a secondary school in Pidkormillia village.
