The agreement reads that pension provision for the citizens of both states dismissed from the service in the Armed Forces and other units formed according to the legislation of both Parties, the United Armed Formation of Commonwealth of Independent States, the Armed Forces and other units of the former Soviet Union, and pension provision for their family members is regulated according to the norms and in the order defined by the legislation of both states at their place of residence.
Moreover, under the agreement, a one-time payment in case of death or injury of military servicemen liable for military service and part-time servicemen called to the training (or testing) concentrations, or other types of their social security are effected in line with the legislation of both Parties.
The committee members upheld the agreement, since "it forms the mechanism of the Ukrainian-Moldavian cooperation in the sphere of pension provisions of citizens dismissed from the service and their family members."
