The bill (Reg.
No. 9000) allocated UAH 56,1 billion for public health, out of which UAH 16,6
billion are the expenses from the state budget, and UAH 39,5 billion, from the
local budgets.
The share of expenditures for public health in the structure of GDP totals 3,7% against 3,4 % in the year 2011.
The bill raises social security of medical staff, namely:
establishes the aid on health improvement to be paid to the medical and pharmaceutical staff at the rate of a fixed official salary during the annual leave since January 1, 2012 (UAH 1,6 billion are allocated to this end).
retention of average earnings by every workplace for medical and pharmaceutical staff of healthcare establishments who are referred for education.
reads that a one-time financial aid shall be paid to the graduates of medical and pharmaceutical higher education establishments who opted for work in the rural areas.
Draft budget for 2012 increases financial support of governmental programs in healthcare sector. The draft allocates UAH 1872,1 million for these purposes, which is by UAH 74,2 million more than in 2011.
The committee resolved to support the draft budget for 2012.
