The event was
held on the eve
of the First Plenary Session of the Assembly to be held
on September 14-15, 2011 in Strasbourg to coordinate
the stands of the partner states on the key
issues of the agenda.
Borys Tarasiuk, Head of the Standing Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in EURONEST PA, Elkhan Suleymanov, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Delegation to EURONEST PA, Vahan Hovhannesyan, member of the Armenian Delegation to EURONEST PA, David Darchiashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Delegation to EURONEST PA, and Igor Corman, Chairman of the Moldovan Delegation to EURONEST PA, attended the meeting.
The parties discussed the draft report of the Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy of EURONEST PA concerning recommendations of the Eastern Partnership Summit 2011 and Declaration on Belarus.
Borys Tarasiuk, Head of the Standing Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in EURONEST PA, suggested considering the proposals of the Ukrainian party concerning the work schedule of the Assembly for 2011-2012.
The participants of the meeting adopted the final protocol which states that consolidation of stands of the Eastern Partnership countries should guarantee effective resolution of specific issues and tasks set by the foundation documents of EURONEST PA.
Borys Tarasiuk attaches great importance to holding such meetings on the eve of parliamentary sessions and sittings of the EURONEST PA Bureau.
