Four Deputy Presidents of PABSEC were elected: Asaf Gadjiev (Azerbaihan), Enver Yılmaz (Turkey), Rafgat Altynbaev (Russia), Ioannis Amiridis (Greece).
Kyrylo Tretiak (Ukraine) was appointed PASBEC Secretary. Under clause 28 of the PASBEC Regulations, the Secretary General is elected for three years on the basis of dual majority voting with the support of not least than a half of the national delegations of the Assembly (6 out of 12 states) and majority of the votes from the total constitution of the Assembly (39 out of 76 delegates).
National delegations directed their proposals to the PABSEC International Secretariate regarding the candidates for the office of the Secretary General not later than 6 months before the beginning of the regular session of the General Assembly.
The newly-elected Deputy Secretaries General of PABSEC are as follows: in charge of organizational matters Svetlana Kraicheva (Bulgaria), in charge of administrative-finance matters Murat Bakır (Turkey), in charge of international cooperation and protocol Alexander Kryvenko (Russia).
Under item 2 of clause 28 of the PASBEC Regulations, national delegations directed their proposals regarding candidates for the offices of Deputy Secretaries General of PABSEC not later than 1 month before the beginning of the regular session of the General Assembly. Elections were held according to the principles of simple majority of votes.
