The committee
members discussed protection of human rights in the scope of terrorism
counteraction, protection of the right for private life in the Internet and
online media, and the issues of national security and protection of the state
secret.
S. Kivalov informed PACE Committee members on Ukraine´s experience in the sphere of parliamentary supervision over the activity of state authorities and officials, suggesting it as an example to organize the system of parliamentary control in Russia.
"As a members of the judicial Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly from Ukraine, I am convinced that the issues scrutinized by this international organization are of great significance for our state", S. Kivalov declared.
