The Agreement supports Ukraine´s participation in the Eastern European Partnership Fund for Energy Efficiency and Environment set up to render efficient financial assistance for the implementation of energy efficiency projects and improvement of environmental situation.
To fulfill its obligations under the Agreement, Ukraine shall pay EUR 10 million (EUR 2 million annually during five years) to the Fund.
Ukraine´s participation in the Eastern European Partnership Fund for Energy Efficiency and Environment will provide an opportunity to take part in profitable projects and use the funds, the total of which considerably exceeds the accession fee.
The Committee believes that adoption of the bill (Reg. No.0215) will attract investments to the energy efficiency projects and improve the environmental situation.
