The bill (Reg. No.8171) strengthens responsibility for the crimes against authority of public authorities entitled to issue education certificates, samples of which are certified by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Criminal Code is supplemented with a separate clause 358-1 that establishes criminal responsibility for the forgery of education certificates produced for sale or use, sale or use of deliberately forged education certificates. The bill amends clause 112 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine that defines investigative jurisdiction (prejudicial inquiry is held by the organs of inquiry).
