The bill (Reg. No. 4406) sets the grounds for and procedure of rendering free legal assistance, authorities of the executive bodies in the said sphere, the procedure of appealing against the resolutions, actions or passivity of the public authority bodies, local self-government bodies, their officials concerning rendering of free legal assistance.
The right to primary legal aid is granted to the individuals under the responsibility of Ukraine.
Subjects of granting of the free civil legal aid in Ukraine are: executive authority and local self-government bodies; individual and legal entities; specialized institutions.
The bill obliges executive authorities and local self-government bodies to organize personal reception of citizens who require primary legal aid on the issues under competence of the relevant executive authority or local self-government body. Personal reception of citizens who require primary legal aid is held on special days and hours. Schedule of personal reception should be made public.
