Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met the specialists of educational and cultural spheres of Poltava, and presented the book "All about Museums in Poltava Region" published within the all-Ukrainian campaign "All about Ukrainian Museums" under the patronage of Mykola Tomenko´s Fund "Ridna Kraina." The publication will be presented to all regional educational institutions. Andrii Matkovskyi Fund was the partner of the project in Poltava region.
According to the sponsors, the project informs about the main public and private museums of the region, their exhibitions, achievements, facilities for visitors, and privileges for students. M. Tomenko appreciates the fact that the book "All about Museums in Poltava Region" was published as a special supplement to the most popular regional newspaper "Evening Poltava."
Discussing significance of the book in summer, M. Tomenko stated, "Since the authorities failed to provide appropriate recreation and health improvement of children, a lot of them are staying in summer school camps, so this publication, presented to every school, will be useful and timely."
Meeting the educators, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and Deputy Head of Poltava Regional Council Volodymyr Marchenko discussed celebration of the 170th anniversary of Mykhailo Drahomanov in Poltava region in September 2011.
