The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine (re Change of the Admission of Guilt as a Proof of Guilt in Criminal Proceedings)

The bill (Reg. No. 6059) amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine to specify the status and role of such evidence as a proof of guilt. The amendments enable the suspect and the accused to withdraw the admission of guilt at any moment.
