The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to Clause 23 of the Law "On the Local State Administrations" (re Authorities of the Local State Administrations)

The Law authorizes the local state administrations to establish custody and care; arrange the conditions for the upbringing of children deprived of parental care due to the death of parents, deprivation of parents´ rights, disease of the parents or other reasons; protect personal and property rights of the children; and take other actions to guarantee social security of the children.

The draft is registered under Reg. No.7344.
