According to the schedule of Bureau meeting on April 10-11, the participants discussed preparation for the summer annual session in Belgrade (Serbia) and autumn sitting in Dubrovnik (Croatia), scrutinized the reports and information on the activity of OSCE PA.
Speakers of three general committees delivered their reports and resolutions.
Member of the Ukrainian Delegation Serhii Shevchuk was a keynote speaker of II General Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment. The subject of the report was "Strengthening of Efficiency of OSCE a New Start after OSCE Summit in Astana."
S. Shevchuk informed the delegates on the fundamentals of his report and presented a respective draft resolution. The reporter emphasized, "Organization should use its previous experience to create a new security system in Eurasia, in the territory bordering on four oceans from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the Arctic to the Indian." S. Shevchuk focused on the activity of OSCE in the sphere of economy, ecology, energy co-operation, environmental protection, migration, cyberspace security, etc.
In general, the members of OSCE PA appreciated the work of S. Shevchuk and resolved to put the draft resolution prepared by the Ukrainian delegate on the agenda of XX Annual Summer OSCE PA session.
