The Committee on Judicial Policy upholds the Bill on Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine regarding Support of Continual Activity of Mass Media during the Elections

The bill (Reg. No. 7282) amends the Laws "On Elections of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine", "On Elections of the President of Ukraine", "On Elections of Deputies of The Verkhovna Rada of the Crimean Autonomous Republic, Local Councils, and Village, Township, and City Mayors" to ban check-ups of mass media by the authorities during the elections.

The Committee members concluded that the bill complies with the Constitution of Ukraine.
