The bill (Reg. No. 8094) amends clause 50 of the applicable Law concerning election of a secretary of a village, township, city council on the suggestion of either village, township, city mayor or one third of the deputies of the local council. The bill also prohibits the village, township, city mayor and the secretary of a respective council to be affiliated with one political party.
The People´s Deputies stated that legislative proposals would regulate relations between the local officials concerned. The Committee concluded that the bill conforms to the Constitution of Ukraine.
