The bill on the pension reform has not been put on the agenda yet, although the Cabinet of Ministers has expressed such proposals. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement at the Monday´s briefing. He informed that consultations were in progress, as the issue is too sensitive. Therefore, standpoints should be harmonized before the issue is brought forward. "There is no harmonized standpoint as yet," V.Lytvyn stated.
According to the Head of the Parliament, consultations will ensure that the bill passes the voting. "Public will not be dissatisfied if the bill fails, but the International Monetary Fund will respond negatively," V.Lytvyn stated.
He informed that during the Government Question Hour on Friday, The Verkhovna Rada is to talk with the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. V.Lytvyn explained that the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine is not a member of the Cabinet of Ministers, but he will speak with the parliament members in the presence of the Government.
