To the land surveyors of Ukraine
Please accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of the occupational holiday the Day of Land Surveyors.
Land relations have always been the vital core of the society. It is natural that their reforms dating back to the 1990s are among the most important transformations in the independent Ukraine.
Today the title to land is standing the test of time for the capacity of the state, community and country people to become real owners of land. We have to project from the past to the 21st century, remembering that it is people who play the key role in our land. Introduction of land market should not deprive the rural residents of land, but guarantee a sensible and efficient use of the national treasure.
The state has specified the objectives for the land surveyors to adopt respective laws by the end of the year 2011 jointly with The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, to put Ukrainian black soil into economic turnover, provide rational use, protection, restoration of land capacity, and creation of an innovative system of state land inventory since the year 2013.
Fulfillment of these objectives will support realization of the constitutional title to land, duly protect the priceless treasure and the source of our welfare generous Ukrainian land.
Honest efforts of thousands of professional land surveyors contribute to the economic security, independence and prosperity of the state, and guarantee successful realization of these important plans.
I wish you peace, well-being, and professional achievements for the benefit of the Ukrainian people.
