Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, draws attention to the topicality of attendance of the parliamentary sittings by the People´s Deputies. He raised this issue at the today´s sitting of the BYuT-Batkivshchyna Deputy Faction that passed the resolution on the personal vote in the session hall. "From now on, not a faction, but a People´s Deputy, as envisaged by the Standing Orders of The Verkhovna Rada, shall bear responsibility for their voting in the Parliament," M.Tomenko stated.
"We will try to demonstrate that the Parliament includes the Deputies ready to follow the Constitution and the Standing Orders, not voting for both themselves and their colleagues", M.Tomenko stressed.
The Deputy Chairman stated that such behavior of the deputies in the opposition would raise the authority of not only the parliamentary opposition, but also the Parliament, and will set an example for the deputies in the majority.
