The document amends the Resolution of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of December 4, 2007 "On the List, Membership, and Subjects of Authority of the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation", reducing the number of committees from 27 to 26 by merging the Committee on Finance and Banking and the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy into the Committee on Finance, Banking, Taxation, and Customs Policy.
The resolution also amends the Resolution of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of December 26, 2007 "On Election of Chairpersons, First Deputy Chairpersons, Deputy Chairpersons, Secretaries, and Members of the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation, and Election of a Chairperson, First Deputy Chairperson, Deputy Chairpersons, Secretary, and Members of the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization."
V.Khomutynnik from the Party of Regions Faction was elected Chairman of the Committee.
S.Teriokhin from the BYuT-Batkivshchyna Faction and O.Peklushenko from the Party of Regions Faction, were elected First Deputy Chairmen.
M.Katerynchuk from the Faction of Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence, Ye.Hellier from the Party of Regions Faction, and Ye.Tsarkov from the Faction of the Communist Party of Ukraine were elected Deputy Chairmen.
K.Vashchuk from the Faction of the People´s Party was elected Committee Secretary.
