The Law defines the term "military property utilization", and sets the procedure of utilization, its financial support and control over its course.
Under the Law, "military property utilization is performance of the organizational, scientific, technical, economic, environmental, antiepidemic and other works to process military property and renovate its components, i.e. assemblies, systems, units or elements that can be used for the purpose specified or can be alienated after repair or modernization."
State supervision over the military property utilization is effected by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine via the central executive power bodies; while in the sphere of the technogenic safety by the governmental body in charge of state supervision over the civil defence and technogenic safety.
Pursuant to the Law, the Cabinet of Ministers drafts and adopts the State Program on Military Property Utilization.
