The bill (Reg. No. 5266) specifies
the status of a volunteer and the volunteer organization, their rights and
obligations, principles, types, and areas of activity, financial sources, etc.
Also, the document envisages tools of interaction between the volunteer
movement participants, as well as the area of the government interference. The
bill allows using the potential of Ukrainian volunteers more actively and
fully. Furthermore, the volunteers will be encouraged for active work,
education, and training.
Adjusting the bill for the second reading, the Committee received more than 70 amendments, most of which were taken into consideration.
Under the bill adjusted for the second reading, "a volunteer organization is a non-profitable legal entity that received its volunteer status in line with this Law." The status of a volunteer organization is conferred by the central executive authority body in the sphere of volunteer activity within five days since the receipt of a written appeal on behalf of the legal entity.
