According to Yurii Sorochyk, Head of the Committee Secretariat, the Committee is going to adjust the bill on the conflict of interests in the activity of public officers (Reg. No. 4420) to the repeated first reading. The bill defines the concept of the conflict of interests, sets the general requirements and restrictions for the behavior of the public officers to prevent the conflict of interests. The People´s Deputies will also scrutinize an alternative bill on the rules of professional ethics on public service, and prevention of the conflict of interests (Reg. No. 4420-1).
The Committee will repeatedly consider the bill on the state financial control over the public service (Reg. No. 4472). The bill changes the order of declaring the income, property status and expenditures by the persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or the local self-government.
The Committee is going to scrutinize the bill on the National Bureau of Anti-Corruption Investigations of Ukraine (Reg. No. 5031). The bill lays an effective institutional foundation to prevent, detect, terminate and investigate corruption crimes.
The Committee members will adjust the bill on the fundamentals of corruption prevention and counteraction in Ukraine (Reg. No. 7487) to the second reading.
The bill "On the Fundamentals of Corruption Prevention and Counteraction in Ukraine" sets the basic principles of corruption prevention and counteraction; broadens the range of subjects of responsibility for the corruptive infringements; specifies the conditions, whereby an individual shall be considered as a subject of responsibility for the corruptive infringements.
In February, a round table discussion "Further Enhancement of Domestic Anti-Corruption Legislation" will be held.
