The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Competence of the Law Enforcement Bodies in the Protection of Submarine Cultural and Archeological Heritage)" adjusted for the Motions of the President of Ukraine

The Law authorizes the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine to protect submarine cultural and archeological heritage to prevent misappropriation, destruction and illegal relocation of the cultural heritage objects.

The legislative act supports protection of the cultural heritage of Ukraine, and arranges favourable conditions for suspension of legislative infringements in the sector of cultural heritage protection.

The draft is registered under Reg. No.6604.
